Scrub ("Clean, convert & de-junk text") is a browser extension that cleans, converts, and processes text, JSON, CSV, YAML, URLs, and images. All processing happens locally, in your browser, using your device's computing resources.
None. Scrub does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data, usage data, or content you process.
Specifically, Scrub does not collect:
Every tool in Scrub — text cleaning, JSON formatting, CSV/YAML conversion, URL decoding, encoding utilities, image processing — runs entirely within your browser using standard web APIs. No content you interact with is sent to any server operated by us or any third party.
Scrub uses your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local) to remember your preferences (such as your last-used tool and theme setting) and your Pro license status. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted to any server.
When you choose to enter a Pro license key, Scrub sends that key to Gumroad (api.gumroad.com) via HTTPS to verify your purchase. This is the sole network request the extension ever makes. No other data is included in that request. No content you have processed is ever transmitted.
If you do not use a Pro license key, Scrub makes zero network requests.
Scrub contains no analytics libraries, telemetry, error-reporting services, or third-party tracking scripts of any kind. We have no visibility into how you use the extension.
Scrub does not use cookies.
We do not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties. There is nothing to share — we do not collect it in the first place. The only third-party system the extension contacts is Gumroad, and only for the license-verification purpose described above.
Because Scrub collects no data from anyone, it is fully compliant with laws protecting children's privacy (including COPPA). We do not knowingly collect information from children or anyone else.

Scrub requests no host permissions and does not access any website automatically or in the background.
If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Because Scrub collects no data, meaningful changes to this policy are unlikely.
